Expedition 33!!! Infinity Nikki!!! No overtime at work!

Hi hewwo, I won't write spoilers, don't worry! Also sorry being away for almost two weeks(wow time really flew by...).
I actually began writing this yesterday, but got kinda bummed out midway through when I started feeling a bit down and noticed how that was coming across in my writing too, which sorta turned into me just complaining about work and wishing we had a 3 day weekend lol
But not today! Today I'm feeling good, and I'll write more positive things!

Right not I'm really absobed by Expedition 33! It's just such an amazing game, it's really really fun to play, I love the characters, it's visually beautiful, it sounds nice, it kinda be both emotional and funny too. It's also cheap too(even cheaper if you prefer to torrent it instead, no judging).
I won't post any spoilers here just in case anyone reading has yet to play it, and if you happen to be one of those people, I'd love if you were to give the game a try! Maybe even tell me what you thought afterwards?

Hello again, thank you for reading the full blog post! It has been a while since we last spoke, I hope you've been doing well! :3
Ok ok, so, what to talk about first...? You know, I always have a bit of trouble with this part whenever I decide to write something here.

Okay, let's first talk about Expedition 33!
I remember seeing the game being announced for the first time, I think it was at the Game Awards? I believe me and two friends were on a call together on Discord.
It looked pretty cool and interesting to all of us, especially to one of my friends. I eventually forgot about it afterwards, until recently when the game's release started approaching and that friend mentioned buying it for his PS5.
I imagined it would probably be an alright game, didn't actually bother looking too much into it at the time. Eventually it came out and my friend started playing it.
Two days later, he managed to convince me(or did I convince myself because I was bored and wanted something to do during the weekend, after I had already finished playing Peripeteia?) to buy the game.
I think I purchased it on Steam on Thursday, in preparation to play it during the weekend. It is now the end of Monday(technically 3AM of Tuesday as I'm writing this) and I already have 20 hours of playtime!

It has really been a blast, I was a little hesitant at first but the prologue alone was enough to have me admiring it, and even feeling a little emotional too!
I'll get this out of the way now, I absolutely adore Lune! She's really interesting and also incredibly beautiful. (*/ω\*)
I played for hours and hours on my first session. I was curious how the whole "turn-based with real-time parry" system would work and everything, and I can safely say that it was executed with perfection! It just flows so nicely, you know?
Each character is really unique, both in terms of personality as well as gameplay, and I really enjoy listening to them talk and interact with each other.
I always love games that have a tight-knit group of party members that just vibe well with each other. The whole Persona series is a great example of this, which I'm a big fan btw.

Right now I'm somewhere in Act 2, so I'm probably not close to finishing the game yet. I wonder how much it still has in store for me, since it already surprised me a few times today by introducing new gameplay mechanics when I had thought it had already introduced everything before.
Oh right! And another bit of good news! After a few days of peer pressure, we managed to convince the other friend from our friend group to download the game as well!
I'd love to see what she thinks of the game, I hope she has as much fun with it as I'm having.
Maybe after I'm done with the game, and after more time has passed so as to give everyone a chance to experience it for themselves, I could write a new blog post that contains spoilers? Or maybe even update this one? I guess we'll see how that goes.
But speaking of stuff for after I'm done with the game, let me tell you a bit more about Infinity Nikki!

I have been having fun and relaxing by playing Infinity Nikki, as I've shared already on my previous blog post. But now, the game just got a new major update!
I'm really excited to play it as well, and it's really nice that it got released on Steam alongside the update, as that makes it more convenient for me. I hope it also serves as an opportunity to get new people into the game too! Maybe even you, reading this?
The thing I think I'm most excited about is the multiplayer feature that they're adding. To be honest I don't know much about it yet, I believe it is confined to one section of the world, and not like a complete multiplayer coop experience for the entire game.
But honestly, regardless of what it ends up being, I'm happy and excited to be able to interact with other people on the game! It will be really nice, I'm sure of it!

Some of the other things that I know they'll be adding are some way to design your on patterns for your clothes, which I'm not exactly sure on how that will end up working, probably selecting from pre-selected presets or similar, but I think the idea is neat.
Another thing which is pretty cool is that the developers are also improving the photo mode system the game has. You'll now be able to more freely move both the camera and your character around, so this is nice, it will open up a lot of new possibilities for taking pretty pictures in-game. I think I already mentioned this on my previous blog post, but I'm growing fonder of the concept of virtual photography.
By the way, I think it's kinda funny but appreciated how I never really know what to expected from Infinity Nikki. Like, one moment I'm just being a cute girl doing cute-girl-stuff, running small errands in game, or solving things through the power of friendship and stuff. But out of a sudden the game drops a random sidequest that involves you going to the land's borders to check on war refugees that set up camp there, and hear their suspicions that an enemy spy is nearby.
You then proceed to find out that the "spy" was actually the grumpy old man that owns the Daisy Inn at the starting village, who was a mercenary in his youth and is now secretly leaving gifts and food donations at the refugee camp at night.
Tracking him down and talking to him, you convince him to help the refugees by letting the women and children stay on the Inn, where he shares the backstory that the Inn was originally a small camp from after the war, on a plot of dirt where a lot of flowers grew and that's all they had to use to make their beddings with, and that's where the Inn's name comes from.

I would really like it if my friends got into the game as well, and maybe some of you too! It has been a positive experience for me, especially to just roam around after overtime at work.
Oh speaking of overtime, today I didn't do any overtime at work, and there was less work to do in general! It has certainly been quite a while since the last time this happened.
How's work treating you? I hope fairly, and that you're getting plenty of rest as well. Today I took a nap after my shift ended, my bed was just too comfy at the time, and I needed to rest my eyes for a bit since they were starting to hurt, which is something that started happening to me lately. I wonder if this could be an issue?
But yeah, today was nice. I ate well, had less stuff to do at work, didn't do any overtime at all, took a nice nap, spent a good amount of time playing Expedition 33, and even felt happy and motivated enough to come here and write all of this! :3
Besides all of the above, I also managed to do my laundry on Sunday, and did some cleaning around my apartment as well. I think I deserve a little golden star.

Hmmmm, what else, what else. Oh, there's Peripeteia too, from last week. But seeing how I've already written quite a bit, I think I might leave that for it's own dedicated blog post in the future.
Well then, I guess this is it for now! I'll see you all next week, and I hope you stay well. Oh and thank you for reading too!
